The Line of Best Fit
Chicago-based Case Oats have signed to Merge Records and revealed debut song "Seventeen".
The new project from vocalist Casey Walker and drummer Spencer Tweedy is a vehicle for Walker's songs about "moving on, growing up in the Midwest, and about loyalty to desperately flawed people and gratitude for pain, for the way things end up."
The band – completed by guitarist Max Subar, fiddle player Scott Daniel, and bassist Jason Ashworth – are expected to drop a long player later this year, and have lined up a bunch of shows at SXSW this month including Best Fit's official party on 14 Match at the Swan Dive.
