Cara Delevingne confirms debut music imminent after signing with warner music
Model and actress Cara Delevingne has signed a recording contract with Warner Music, with her first single expected to arrive this month.
The 33-year-old has been developing material for the past two years and is scheduled to make her live debut at Spain’s Primavera festival in June. News of the deal was first reported by The Sun’s Bizarre column.
Delevingne announced the project on Instagram, describing music as “forever been my biggest fear and my greatest love.” She named two tracks – “I Forgot” and “Out Of My Head” – as “the first peek inside my stream of consciousness over the last few years.”
The move follows a long but intermittent relationship with music. Delevingne previously worked with Pharrell Williams on songs for Chanel’s 2014 film Reincarnation and the 2017 track “I Feel Everything.” She also contributed vocals to “Pills”, a 2017 song by her former partner St Vincent.
At 16, she signed a development deal with Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller but chose to prioritise modelling before transitioning to acting. Her film credits include a minor role in 2012’s Anna Karenina, followed by Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
In a 2026 interview with People, Delevingne linked her creative shift to sobriety, which she began in 2022 after a stint in rehab. “Ever since sobriety came into my life, and I’ve been changing in such a big way over the last couple of years, I felt more like a kid than I’ve ever felt in the best way possible,” she said. She also told Elle UK that quitting alcohol has “been worth every second.”
