breakkaway tell a coming-of-age story on new song, "Run away with me"
NYC-based collective breakkaway have released their new single, "Run away with me".
"Run away with me" follows "Portrait set on fire" released in March, and sees the alternative outfit cross the lines of rock, ambient pop and glitchy hyperpop textures.
Speaking about the song, vocalist Jessica Li says, ββ Run away with meβ is a song I wrote at 17, capturing what it meant to be a teenager for me: struggling to feel anchored anywhere, small acts of rebellion, and friendships bigger than romantic love. Looking back from my early 20s, the song feels like my own coming-of-age story, full of a beautiful and tender kind of angst.β
"Run away with me" is out now on Epitaph
