Braille Face announces new album Skipping Days and shares “Pure Entertainment”

Braille Face, the art pop project of Australian producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Jordan White, has announced new album Skipping Days, out on 20 November, and shared the single “Pure Entertainment”.

The track follows recent single “<3” and assesses ideas of distraction, political spectacle, and the difficulty of separating reality from performance. '“Pure Entertainment' is wrestling within the current ecosystem of populism and barker politics, which are endlessly distracting and keeping us docile in the face of pressing global breakdowns,” White said. “I've been distracted too, I've looked away, burnt out from my empathy being monetised. How do we search for the real in what feels more and more like performance?”

Skipping Days is Braille Face’s first full-length since 2020’s Original Cast Recording. That album followed debut Kōya, the of a challenge to make and release 12 albums in 12 months. He collected the strongest ideas on Kōya, later released by Tim Shiel and Wally De Backer’s revived Spirit Level label. Original Cast Recording was written between Melbourne, New York, Oslo, and Japan and addressed mental health, medication, sexuality, and masculinity.

White is now based in London and has begun performing Braille Face live more often, including a UK support slot with Chet Faker.

Skipping Days is released on 20 November
