Boston Manor announce 10th anniversary edition of debut album, Be Nothing

The Lancashire-born band first released Be Nothing back in 2016 on Pure Noise Records, which they'll be returning to for the reissue. This follows their 2024 album Sundiver, and is set to include new acoustic versions of "Lead Feet", released today, "Laika", "Forget Me Not", and "Drowned in Gold".

Discussing the track, bassist Dan Cunniff says: "Standout song for me has to be Lead Feet '(Corner Piece)'. It was one of the first demos we made for the record and going through the process it taught us a lot about song writing and structure. We thought it’ll be a nice touch to put some lyrics in the bridge from our very first EP “Here/Now”. It was a nod to how far we’ve come from recording our first EP."

On the anniversary, he continues: "For me; writing and recording Be Nothing. was one of the most exciting things we had done at that time. Doing the 'band thing' for many years previous to Boston Manor, I'd always wanted to be involved in writing a full length record but never had the opportunity to do it properly. So by the time the opportunity came round, I felt like we were all hyper focused on what we wanted to achieve and also keeping in mind what this record would sound like in 10 years from that point.

"That being said; I think we achieved our goals with Be Nothing. because I believe this record holds up even today 10 years on. The record did more than we thought it would do for us. It opened up so many doors, especially in the touring world. Having the opportunity to travel all around the world because of one record is pretty insane!"

In addition to its digital release, Be Nothing. 10 year Anniversary will also be available on CD and special vinyl variants.
