Bory announces second album, Never Turns To Night
Bory — the project of Portland songwriter Brenden Ramirez — has announced his second album, Never Turns To Night, and shared new single "By The Lake".
Never Turns To Night follows Bory's 2023 debut album Who’s A Good Boy, and is said to deliver "a fully-realised vision of Bory", expanding upon the power pop and indie rock elements which defined his debut. "By The Lake" is the latest preview of Bory's expanding direction, following "We'll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It, which dropped just last month.
Speaking of how the new track came to be, Ramirez says: "I was going through a pretty rough time when I wrote this song. I was dealing with something that felt humungous, ever-present and looming. But I took a weekend trip out of town and into nature and it was the best I had felt in a long time. This song represents an aggressive, almost manic, procrastination of all the conflict I was dealing with back home."
Never Turns To Night is due for release on 6 March via Bleak Enterprise.
