Bonnie Kemplay returns with new song, "Big Machine"
Scotland-born, London-based artist Bonnie Kemplay has released her new single, "Big Machine", via Dirty Hit.
"Big Machine" arrives three years after Kemplay's debut EP, running out of things to say, running out of things to do. It was written during a creative turning point for the songwriter, marking a new chapter following years recovering from a long-term arm injury that stopped her from playing guitar.
Speaking about the songwriting process and the inspiration behind "Big Machine", Kemplay says: “I like storytelling and trying to capture a feeling or a moment. A lot of these songs come from conversations and shared experiences. I wrote ‘Big Machine’ shortly after moving to London. It’s about being swept into a new life, running on autopilot, and the helplessness and overwhelm of watching the world unravel on your phone.”
"Big Machine" is out now on Dirty Hit
