Bobby Weir to play first London show in 22 years at Royal Albert Hall with Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra
Grateful Dead co-founder Bobby Weir has announced a show with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 21 June.
The performance will mark Weir’s first show in London in over two decades. He will be joined by his Wolf Bros bandmates: GRAMMY-winning producer Don Was on bass, along with Dead & Company bandmates Jeff Chimenti on piano and Jay Lane on drums.
The evening will feature two full sets of music, including reimagined Grateful Dead classics, selections from Weir’s solo catalog, and beloved songs from Weir’s career, all performed for the first time in the UK with a full 68-piece orchestra.
This orchestral project debuted in the US in 2022 with a sold-out four-night run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where Weir and his bandmates performed with the National Symphony Orchestra.
