Blusher cover MGMT's "Time To Pretend" live in session for Best Fit
Melbourne trio Blusher perform a cover of MGMT's "Time To Pretend" live in session exclusively for The Line of Best Fit in partnership with Crouch End Studios.
""Time To Pretend" is a very important song to us as individuals and as a band," Blusher explain to Best Fit. "It’s the first song that we’ve ever covered and it seemed so fitting to lean into its sarcasm, humour and confidence. The first time we performed it was for an industry showcase, so it felt really fun to sing brash lyrics about being in a pop band and how absurd the music industry can be. We take a lot of production inspiration from their distorted astral sounds, fuzzy synth lines and crunchy drums. We’re also big fans of their sunglasses. We had a great time putting this one together and we hope you like it!"
Just last month Blusher shared their debut EP Should We Go Dance?, which includes the latest single "Limelight". The same month the trio also supported Tove Lo during her Australian headline shows.
