Bleech 9:3 share new single, "Jacky"
Irish four-piece Bleech 9:3 have released their second ever single, "Jacky", which arrives as the band are fresh off an extensive run of dates with Keo, are now on tour with Shame.
Headed up by Baz Quinlan (vocals/guitar) and Sam Duffy (guitar) - the pair met at AA, where Quinlan became Duffy's sponsor. The moved from Dublin to London together in 2024. "I think the vulnerability of those meetings helped us be a lot more comfortable with each other from the get go" they say about these first recordings.
"To me it is in part about my own life and in part the lives of those with whom I shared the illness of drug addiction with as a young person back home in Dublin. Though it is not specifically about being an addict, that’s just one way people lose themselves and too often their lives. I’m talking about that loss and the difficulty with understanding it," Quinlan says of the track.
"Jacky" is out now on Ra-Ra Rok Records.
