Black Mekon share new single ahead of 13 Songs About Monsters album
“Kill Them!” is the second preview of Black Mekon's latest album, a horror-inspired garage rock set titled 13 Songs About Monsters, releasing at the end of October.
The Birmingham blues-punk duo’s latest track is the record’s closer. It follows last month’s “Radioactive Wolfman”, which first announced the new full-length, a follow-up to 2023’s Lucern Raze-produced NEAT!. 13 Songs will be available on limited edition glow-in-the-dark vinyl alongside digital formats and is on brand for the outfit that has produced their own video game, action figures, comics, fuzz pedals, and an arcade machine, the latter coinciding with the 'Arcade Edition' of their 2019 album Destroy Nostalgia.
A release day show is booked at The Hare & Hounds in Birmingham on 30 October.
Black Mekon, whose two members are anonymous, have spent nearly two decades touring the world with artists including Jack White, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and Guitar Wolf. They have released 13 studio albums and nine 7-inch singles to date. You can check out the self-directed music video for "Kill Them!" below.
13 Songs About Monsters is released on 30 October via PNKSLM Recordings
