Björk unveils new song "Nerve Bloom" at Echolalia opening
Björk has shared a demo version of her new song, "Nerve Bloom", at the opening of her immersive exhibit Echolalia at Reykjavík's National Gallery Of Iceland.
The opening took place over the weekend, with the exhibit being based around reworkings of Björk's songs "Ancestress" and "Sorrowful Soil" from her 2022 album, Fossora. Her presentation of "Nerve Bloom" pairs the music with visuals from painter Natalia Kleszczewska and CGI director Natalie Liu, blending animism and mythology to highlight the hope and rebellion portrayed in the track.
While Björk has only shared a snippet of the demo, attendees of the exhibition have also pieced together full versions of "Nerve Bloom".
Echolalia is currently set to run at Reykjavík's National Gallery Of Iceland until 20 September, 2026. It transforms the gallery into a space dedicated to the depiction of Björk’s creative process, combining music, performance, technology, and visual art.
