BICEP announce limited edition vinyl release, CHROMA 000
BICEP – the Northern Irish duo of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar – have announced CHROMA 000, a limited edition vinyl compiling tracks from their CHROMA label in celebration of the end of the series.
Alongside the announcement they have also shared the first of two alternative versions of CHROMA singles: “CHROMA 012 TANGZ II” – a reworking of their ominous collaboration with singer/songwriter ELIZA.
Speaking about the new single, and wider CHROMA project, BICEP shared: “It’s been amazing working with an artist like Eliza, whose voice is truly incredible. We ended up making two mixes of the track TANGZ and just couldn’t pick a favourite—so we’re releasing both with CHROMA 012 TANGZ II out today
CHROMA has been such a fun series of parties and releases for us, opening up a much broader range of club music to make and play out. It’s also been an honour to collaborate with David Rudnick, someone we’ve admired for years. Watching the whole process—music, design, and visuals—come together and evolve every week with our visuals director Zak Norman has been genuinely refreshing and inspiring”
The music is split across two 140g black vinyl with bespoke “Terrain6” 6-way hyper-colour printed outer sleeves. Each unit will also include a 12” neon acrylic sheet with laser etching (with one of four unique versions randomly shipped with each product), all housed in translucent brown Mylar wrap sleeve, which is Pantone screenprinted.
As with all the CHROMA visual output, the boxset design is underpinned by the unique and distinctive CHROMA visual identity created in collaboration with David Rudnick and his Terrain studio, which is anchored around a bespoke visual system and typography that has featured across all aspects of the CHROMA project to date, from the artwork, to the press shots, to the visual elements developed by BICEP LIVE visual collaborator Zak Norman, who has incorporated it into the incredible CHROMA AV, light and laser show.
CHROMA 000 will be released on 14 November, and is available to pre-order now.
