Beyoncé closes Paris run with surprise Jay-Z appearance
Jay-Z made a surprise appearance during Beyoncé’s final Paris show on Sunday, joining her onstage for a rare performance of “Crazy in Love”.
The concert marked the final international stop on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit tour. Jay-Z entered midway through the track for his verse, prompting a strong reaction from the crowd.
Remaining on stage for a performance of “N***as in Paris,” Jay-Z and Beyoncé joined together for a performance of “Drunk in Love.” It marks their first live duet together in nearly seven years, since their co-headlining On The Run II tour.
The Paris shows have quickly become standout moments on the European leg of the tour, with Beyoncé performing three nights at the Stade de France. Earlier in the run, she surprised fans by bringing out Miley Cyrus during the Juneteenth show for a live debut of their duet “II Most Wanted,” marking one of the most talked-about performances of the tour so far.
Sunday night’s show also included a brief snippet of Beyoncé’s 2013 track “Partition.” After Jay-Z exited the stage, Beyoncé told the crowd, “Give it one more time for HOV.”
“Beyoncé saved the best part of the tour for Paris, and I honestly support her,” says an X user.
The Cowboy Carter tour launched in Los Angeles on April 28 and spans cities across Europe and North America, with a conclusion set in Las Vegas on July 26.
