
Beyoncé donates $2.5million for LA Fire Relief Fund
Beyoncé‘s BeyGOOD Foundation has donated $2.5 million in order to assist anyone in need of funds to recover from destruction caused by the Los Angeles wildfires.
"The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centres to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires," says a statement that was posted on Sunday evening.
Other companies that have pledged to donate funds towards the cause include Walt Disney Company, who have offered $15 million to relief and rebuilding efforts. Warner Music and Blavatnik Foundation have have joined forces, as well as Recording Academy, in collaboration with MusiCares, and have respectively pledged $1 million in order to help any musicians and artists in need of recouping their losses, whilst Live Nation it is planning a FireAid benefit show at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
