Beverly Glenn-Copeland unearths new single, “Light Of The Heavens”

Beverly Glenn-Copeland has released his newly discovered song, "Light Of The Heavens".

The previously unreleased track was recorded after Glenn-Copeland's 1986 album Keyboard Fantasies, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Alongside its release, Glenn-Copeland has shared a performance video from the Keyboard Fantasies era.

“We are so pleased to share this nearly-lost song and video," Glenn-Copeland says of "Light Of The Heavens". "Credit to my friend and publisher Jeff Waye who uncovered this forgotten song while looking through old tapes in my archive. It was recorded around the time of Keyboard Fantasies and I was so thrilled to be brought back to that moment. Unearthing the video was especially meaningful to me for two reasons: dance has always been my favourite artform, and Susan McNaughton’s choreography and performance are deeply moving; plus I recorded this on my favourite place on Earth, the Canadian Shield where I lived in hermit-like splendour for many years. This song feels like a gift from my past, and all of us hope that you enjoy revisiting this era of the work.”

The single comes just ahead of Glenn-Copeland's performance at Royal Festival Hall as part of Harry Styles’ Meltdown Festival on Thursday, 18 June, and follows his album Laughter In Summer, released back in February. He has also announced a run of Canadian tour dates for early 2027, which will take place after a series of UK/EU festival appearances, including End Of The Road in Dorset.
