Beverly Glenn-Copeland announces 40th anniversary reissue of Keyboard Fantasies

Beverly Glenn-Copeland has announced the reissue of his 1986 album Keyboard Fantasies, which will feature a 7" of the recently rediscovered single "Light Of The Heavens".

The reissue follows the release of Glenn-Copeland's collaborative album with his wife and producer Elizabeth Copeland, Laughter In Summer, released earlier this year.

"At the time that I wrote Keyboard Fantasies, I knew I was in an elevated state because of the environment that surrounded me — the woods and lakes of Northern Ontario were my deepest inspiration," says Glenn-Copeland. "Also, I was so excited to write with computers and all of the new sounds and tools it afforded me. Today, we are happy to reflect on that period of time and the profound impact that the work has now taken on, some 40 years later."

Keyboard Fantasies came together when Glenn-Copeland taught himself how to use digital synthesis while living in rural Ontario back in 1986. At the time, he self-released a 200-copy cassette run and sold a handful. In 2015, a Japanese record collector emailed Glenn about selling the rest, leading the album to spread globally and reach bigger audiences.
