Beth Orton returns with first new song in five years, The Ground Above
Beth Orton has released her new single, "The Ground Above".
"The Ground Above" is the first release from the Norfolk singer-songwriter since her 2022 eighth album Weather Alive, which she self-produced and recorded. Speaking about the song, Orton comments: "We are all vulnerable beings living out invincible lives.”
Recently, Orton has taken to the stage for performances in Ireland last December, followed by a series of UK shows, which included an appearance as part of a live tribute show for Broken English: A Portrait of Marianne Faithfull at Barbican Hall, and a special show at London's St. Pancras Old Church.
