Benny Sings announces the release of Beat Tape III
Benny Sings has returned with the announcement of Beat Tape III, the latest instalment of his beat tape series alongside the release of "Simple Life" in collaboration with Leven Kali.
The new track is accompanied alongside a self-shot music video filmed in Benny’s Amsterdam studio. The video captures Benny dancing freely in his creative space, enhanced with playful animations by Steph Hope.
Speaking of the release, Benny Sings says: “A lot of music gets made that doesn’t get released, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth hearing. It gives me the space to share songs that didn’t make the album, but still have their own kind of magic. There’s a certain freeness to them. No big ambition. No pressure. Just sound, feeling, and the way I work.”
The project marks his first release since his 2023 album Young Hearts, which was co-produced with Kenny Beats and featured Remi Wolf.
Beat Tape III is an assembly of chance sessions and rare collaborations, each track telling a story of its own: a jam with Jacob Jeffries of Vulfpeck in Amsterdam, a demo with Grammy-nominated Leven Kali, or a cut recorded with Kelsey González of The Free Nationals.
Beat Tape III will be released on 19 September via Stones Throw.
