Beck teams up with Americana singer Sierra Ferrell for “Ride Lonesome” duet

26 June 2026, 11:44 | Written by Best Fit

Beck has released a new version of his song “Ride Lonesome”, reimagined as a duet with West Virginia songwriter Sierra Ferrell. The track arrives as Beck announces a run of North American tour dates set to begin in September.

The pairing sees Ferrell, a celebrated roots musician, weave her voice around Beck’s acoustic original. While little has been said publicly by either artist about the collaboration itself, the release positions the duet as a meeting of two distinctive vocalists operating at opposite ends of the Americana spectrum.

The single lands ahead of Beck’s Ride Lonesome tour, which opens on 16 September at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre - a sold-out date - and runs through to a Halloween night finale at The Truth in Nashville. The routing includes multiple nights at notable venues, with two shows at San Francisco’s The Masonic, Toronto’s Massey Hall, and Brooklyn Paramount (the second of which has already sold out), plus stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Greek in Los Angeles, and Chicago’s Auditorium.

Beck’s recent work has skewed heavily towards collaboration, with guest spots alongside Arooj Aftab, Orville Peck, the Chemical Brothers, Gorillaz, and a host of others. His live schedule in the past few years has similarly spanned intimate theatre shows and orchestral performances at Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
