BC Camplight presents new track, "Where You Taking My Baby?"
BC Camplight has shared "Where You Taking My Baby?" as the latest preview of his recently announced new album, A Sober Conversation.
Following lead single "Two Legged Dog", which features Abigail Morris from The Last Dinner Party, BC Camplight has shared new track "Where You Taking My Baby?". After decades of running from a serious traumatic event in his childhood, on the track he confronts a man named Michael and offers his adult perspective on what happened all those years ago.
A Sober Conversation follows Brian Christinzio’s 2023 album, the critically celebrated The Last Rotation Of Earth; a record centred around the agonising break-up of his long-term relationship.
“Around the time of The Last Rotation… I realised I was living in this perpetual childhood, messed up all the time, trying to free myself from responsibility and all the bad thoughts I had. It led to a kind of existential crisis… I’ve been running away from stuff for a long time. You can either try and achieve milestones in life or chase a dime bag - you can’t do both. And I’ve decided not to let myself be defeated anymore.”
A Sober Conversation will be released on 27 June via Bella Union, and is available to pre-order now.
