
Barry Can’t Swim returns with single, "The Person You’d Like To Be"
Edinburgh-born artist Barry Can’t Swim has returned with "The Person You’d Like To Be" as his first new music in 2025.
“The Person You’d Like To Be” arrives after a momentous 18 months for Barry who released his debut album When Will We Land?, and was subsequently shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Music Prize alongside the likes of Charli XCX, Beth Gibbons, English Teacher, Ghetts and The Last Dinner Party, as well as being nominated at the BRIT Awards 2024 in the Dance Act category and shortlisted in the Scottish Album of the Year awards.
Barry Can’t Swim will be headlining London’s All Points East festival this summer (other headliners include RAYE, The Maccabees, and Chase & Status) and Bristol's FORWARDS festival alongside Doechii, Jorja Smith and Ezra Collective.
