Baby Rose to return with new album, YEARNALISM
Baby Rose has announced her new album, YEARNALISM, and shared new single, "But, Nvm".
"But, Nvm" follows earlier single "Friends Again" as the second taster of the upcoming album, and arrives alongside a visual directed by Amaya Segura & Rae Blackman. Speaking about the song, Rose says that it's "a song about that realization that it was always their love I was chasing, Never mind I was protecting. But, nvm I see it now”.
YEARNALISM ushers in a new chapter for Rose, pulling from the foundations of soul, gospel, jazz, rock and R&B established in her previous work while drawing from the timeless sounds of Etta James, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin. The album centres around the complex nature of love in its various stages and forms across different types, including romantic, self-love, love from those around you and the boundless yearning that comes from those moments
