Australian band C.O.F.F.I.N announce 10,000 Miles From Oslo documentary and UK/EU tour

01 June 2026, 10:07 | Written by Best Fit

Sydney Northern Beaches rock band C.O.F.F.I.N have shared the trailer for their forthcoming short documentary 10,000 Miles From Oslo, alongside a run of international premiere screenings and a newly confirmed UK and European tour this winter.

The film traces the group’s journey from teenage beginnings to becoming one of Australia’s most respected contemporary rock’n’roll acts, drawing on over 20 years of archival footage, interviews, unseen material and life-on-the-road footage. At its centre are the decades-long friendships that forged the band, particularly founding members Ben Portnoy and Abijah Rado, who started performing together at age 12, and later additions Aaron Moss and Steven “Kosty” Kostogiannis. Commentary from family, collaborators and figures across the Australian music community is threaded through live in-studio performances and early previews of unreleased music.

10,000 Miles From Oslo will screen across Australia, Europe and North America throughout July, August and November. The UK gets two dates with Q&A sessions featuring the band and director Jake Laderman: Genesis Cinema in London on 10 August, and Cultplex in Manchester on 12 August. Oslo’s Vaterland will host a Q&A screening on 27 November.

The announcement arrives during one of the busiest periods in C.O.F.F.I.N’s career. A freshly announced EU and UK tour runs through November and December, opening at Bristol’s Exchange on 17 November before hitting Manchester’s YES (18 November), Nottingham’s Bodega (19 November) and London’s MOTH Club (20 November). From there, the band play dates in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and France, closing at Le Havre’s Tetris on 5 December. Tickets go on sale 4 June at 10am BST.
