@ (AT) have released their new single, "Punish My Mind", the latest preview of their upcoming album, Autosmile.
"Punish My Mind" is the second preview from the art-rock duo's 4AD debut, following title track and lead single "Autosmile". The song is described as a "dystopian Beach Boys" track, as @ explore the urges to shift between punishment and comfort towards oneself, before ultimately. settling on acceptance.
Speaking about the new single, the pair say: “‘Punish My Mind’ is a chill song about self-torture that’s maybe the oldest recording on the album. It has a fat wind arrangement and a lot of vocal harmonies. We hope you like it.”
Autosmile is released on 16 October via 4AD
