Arlo Parks shares new song, "Beams"
Arlo Parks has released her new single, "Beams", the final preview of her upcoming album, Ambiguous Desire.
"Beams" follows previous singles "Get Go", "Heaven", and "2SIDED", and sees Parks confront pain, numbness and self-acceptance, as a more vulnerable offering within a collection of songs inspired by community and nightlife.
Speaking about the track, Parks explains: “It’s about the pain of feeling discarded, or feeling like the oldest hurt that you carry around like a stone is a burden not just to you but to everyone around you - the worst fear. It’s about numbness and fight, flight or freeze. But it’s also about trying to (slowly but surely) want better for yourself and realise that you are lovable as a whole.”
Ambiguous Desire is released on 3 April via Transgressive Records
