April + VISTA announce debut album, Traditional Noise
Washington, D.C.-based duo April + VISTA have revealed the details of their upcoming debut album, Traditional Noise, and shared new single “Standing in Place”.
Formed by Virginia-raised singer/composer April George and Maryland-raised composer/producer Matthew Thompson, April + VISTA have teased Traditional Noise with previous singles “Bless My Heart” and “Love Unspent” released last year, and “Grotto” released last month. "Standing In Place" arrives as a mix of soul, alt-pop, rock, electronic, and R&B, which the pair cultivated throughout their time in the D.C. underground scene.
Traditional Noise follows a series of EPs released by the pair, the most recent being their 2023 collaborative EP Slipping Into Color made with Little Dragon, who they have also supported on tour. April + VISTA have also gone on to play alongside Mura Masa, and Little Simz, with their debut work serving as an introduction to their expansion beyond the underground scene.
