Antony Szmierek to launch debut book Roadmap at Hay Festival 2025
Manchester-based poet, writer and producer has announced his debut book, Roadmap, which will be launched at Hay Festival from 22 May - 1 June 2025.
Featuring the artist’s debut album lyrics and an ‘exploded view’ on the tracks, additional poems, sketches and stories, Roadmap promises to be a hyper-visual experience, packed with exclusive material. Roadmap will be launched at Hay Festival, where Szmierek features with a music appearance (9.45pm, 24 May) and an In Conversation With poet Len Pennie (11.30am, 25 May).
“I’m not being ironic, using a persona or wearing a mask, my music is just me expressing myself honestly,” he says. “There’s nowt to hide behind. It’s sincerity on overdrive – a space where people can connect with each other.”
Roadmap will be available for public release on 29 May with copies available exclusively at Hay Festival, pre-release. Signed copies are available to pre-order now.
