ANIQO learns to face change on new song, "THE TURN"
ANIQO – the musical project of Berlin and Lisbon-based singer-songwriter and visual artist Anita Goß — has released her new single, "THE TURN", produced by Bill Ryder-Jones.
"THE TURN" follows a run of previous singles released following ANIQO's 2022 debut album Birth. The track combines her vocals with guitar from guitarist Torsten Füchsel and arrangements from Ryder-Jones. It's accompanied by a video filmed on a sailing boat in the Atlantic, directed and edited by ANIQO herself, with cinematography by James Harvey.
"I’ve often had moments in my life where I thought: I can’t go on like this - something needs to change," Goß says of the song. "So for me, 'THE TURN' is about the moment after realisation, when something inside you shifts and you know that the next step has to be taken - even if it feels risky at first. It’s about setting out, overcoming fear, but also about consciously saying yes to what you love. It’s about taking the plunge and believing that something will open up once you start moving and let go."
