André 3000, D’Angelo and Chaka Khan to feature in Questlove's documentary on Sly Stone
Sly Lives! is the forthcoming documentary about Sly Stone, which was directed by Roots founder Ahmir 'Questlove' Thompson.
From the makers of the Oscar-winning documentary, Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) – director Questlove, producer Joseph Patel and editor Josh Pearson – comes the new documentary which looks at the life of musician Sly Stone.
Guests featured in the documentary are Nile Rogers, Ruth Copeland, George Clinton, André 3000, D’Angelo and Chaka Khan; Sly and the Family Stone bandmates Jerry Martini, Greg Errico, Larry Graham and the late Cynthia Robinson; and some of Sly Stone's relatives.
Sly Lives! will premiere on 13 February via Hulu.
