Amyl and the Sniffers confirm plans for country concert film and live album, Truth Or Consequence
Amyl and the Sniffers have revealed the details of their upcoming country concert film, Truth Or Consequence, and its accompanying live album.
The band first teased news of the film with an Instagram post shared last week. Today, they unveil a short trailer to offer a glimpse of what's to come from their country turn.
Truth Or Consequence captures a performance from the punk band last year at the El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles. The set included stripped-back country versions of fan favourites, as well as two unreleased songs and a cover of Slim Dusty’s 1972 single "Lights On The Hill". While the film will hit cinemas in select cities across Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and South America on 25 August, the live album will be released on vinyl and streaming services in September.
Speaking about the collection of songs, Amyl and The Sniffers comment: “The hope for this record is that it is listened to as it was made, in a ruckus exclamation between a cherished group of friends.”
