Amble announce second album Love And All Its Wares with new single “Last Rites”

“Last Rites” is out now and follows June’s “The Swell”. Produced by Philip Weinrobe, the track was cut with members of the band’s touring unit and gives a fuller indication of where the new LP is heading. Robbie Cunningham sings: “My words are tired, my feet are sore / Yet I keep on talking, I’m walking more and more / My eyes are closing, my ears are full / Colours never been brighter, and music never dull.”

The band said the song is “about finding your true self in the chaos of life”. In a statement, they added: “When the internal voice in your head and the external voices around you are pulling in different directions, retaining a true version of yourself becomes increasingly difficult.” Amble went on: “It is hard to see the truth in a chaotic world, but it is there.”

Love And All Its Wares was recorded in a three-week session at Grouse Lodge Recording Studios in Westmeath in April. It moves away from the live-in-rooms approach of 2025’s Reverie and, according to the group, pairs love and idealism with the exhaustion of constant touring.

The 2027 UK and Ireland dates open at Belfast’s Belsonic Festival on 23 June and include Dublin’s Malahide Castle on 24 June, Glasgow’s SWG3 Galvanizers Yard on 29 June and Limerick’s Thomond Park on 3 July. Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl follows on 8 July, with London’s Alexandra Palace Park on 9 July. Pre-sales begin 18 August, with general sale from 21 August.
