Alex Amen details debut album, Sun of Amen
Texas singer-songwriter Alex Amos has announced his debut album, Sun of Amen, and shared new single, "Diamonds".
"Diamonds" follows lead single "Cabin By The Sea", released last month as the second preview of Amen's upcoming full-length album, following his 2025 EP, The Zorthian Tapes. The new track sees him reflect on love and loss during his time living in California to study filmmaking, and is accompanied by a music video filmed by Amen.
Sun of Amen was produced by Amen and engineered by Jonny Bell (Cage the Elephant, Chicano Batman) and partly recorded at Valentine Recording Studios in LA. The album features several of Amen's longtime bandmates and collaborators such as multi-instrumentalist Tommy de Bourbon.
Speaking about the recording process, Amen says: “With this album we were meticulous about creating something high-quality while recording in a more traditional way, which has its own challenges—older gear is temperamental, so sometimes we’d have to break for three hours because the tape machine caught on fire,”
