"Accepting where I am": Nectar Woode announces summer mixtape Naturally with title track single
Rising neo-soul singer Nectar Woode has announced a new nine-song mixtape, Naturally, along with the single of same name.
Slated for release this June, the mixtape follows Woode's single “Lights Off” from January, which premiered as BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record on 23 February. "The vibes are immaculate," host Jack Saunders said at the time.
Describing this newest single as “a warm hug”, Woode says the mixtape centres on inner peace and the importance of honouring your emotions to move forward. “This project explores mistakes, frustration, a noisy brain,
being in love and self-love,” she says. “‘Naturally’ feels like an
honest title for all these themes.”
The
news arrives during a buzzy period for the London-based British-Ghanaian artist. Within
two days of announcing a forthcoming European tour, she sold out the
opening night at the capital’s Jazz Café. She has also appeared with
Olivia Dean for a BRITs Week performance, supported Joy Crookes on a UK
and EU tour, and played the Royal Albert Hall in December 2025. Woode
made her Later… with Jools Holland debut in 2025.
