2022 Mercury Prize red carpet called off due to news about Queen's health

Following news of the Queen's health this afternoon (8 September), the red carpet for this year's Mercury Prize Award ceremony, which is due to take place this evening, has been cancelled.

At the time of writing, the 2022 Mercury Prize Award ceremony is still due to go ahead at London's Eventim Apollo.
