Cut from their forthcoming double a-side single ‘Break You’/‘Goodbye’, Ligers’ brand new video encapsulates their sound perfectly: all hazy, kaleidoscopic light flashes and bright, pop colours.
The slower of the two tracks, ‘Goodbye’ is marked by gentle, cyclic guitar rhythms, powerful wide-ranging vocals courtesy of singer Liz Stott and broad, classic indie pop strokes. Filmed by Elva Rodriquez at the bands studio in Kilburn, this early outing aligns the London four-piece with a pained, nostalgic and straight-cut sound we can’t wait to hear develop.
‘Break You’/‘Goodbye’ is due out on 27 May via the band’s own label MEME.
