Theme Park x Museum Of Bellas Artes – Two Hours
We’ve never been shy about our affections for Museum Of Bellas Artes or Theme Park, two differing acts stylistically but both with the very same core: a throbbing pop heart that beats throughout every pore. Nice then, that Stockholm nu-disco shitkickers Museum Of Bellas Artes have remixed, no, re-made Theme Park’s classy indie dance floor stomper ‘Two Hours’.
Miles Haughton’s vocals replaced in favour of Joanna Herskovits and Alice Luther Näsholm’s slightly off kilter white girl soul croon. The results are standard fare to begin with until a small eruption of synth bubbles to the surface that sounds akin to that of a lovesick whale. It’s brilliant, frankly. A further link in MBA’s chain of inventive remixes and one that whet’s the appetite further for the trio’s forthcoming debut full length.
Theme Park release a new 10” featuring covers of Jessie Ware’s ‘Wildest Moments’, The National’s ‘Bloodbuz Ohio’ and Hot Chip’s ‘Ready For The Floor’. Further remixes of ‘Two Hours’ are also forthcoming from Dawn Golden & Rosy Cross, as well as RAC and Populette. Check the official video for ‘Two Hours’ below.
