Rising UK soul talent Tertia May stuns once again with uplifting new track "Twenty Two"
Written on her birthday, the jazz-infused new offering “Twenty Two” sees Tertia May settle into a moment of self-reflection whilst looking positively into the future that lies ahead of her.
Tertia May is the London-based talent who has spent the past year or so honing her craft, focusing in on a sound that is as unique as it is warming to the soul. Having previously impressed with her songs such as "Monsters In The Bedroom" and "In My Head", May once again proves that she is solidifying an exciting - and instantly recognisable - new sound.
Inflected with a bold groove and warm, jazzy motifs, "Twenty Two" is a song that is soaked in positivity and, with summer just around the corner, it is the perfect warm-up for those drawn out, late summer evenings that you wish would never come to an end.
It is ultimately a reminder to be grateful and kind to yourself, and sees May reflect on all that she has achieved whilst looking forward to all the promise that the future holds. Speaking on the positive, forward-looking nature of the new track, May says: "I knew I wanted it to be an uplifting song which people can dance to. It’s about growing up and appreciating what you have achieved and being confident in everything you do whilst spreading joy with loved ones."
