Dublin's Tandem Felix work their mellow magic with new track "Union St. Blues" [Premiere]
There's no better way to ease into the busy week than with the calming ambience of Tandem Felix's new track, "Union St. Blues".
The delicacy and sensitivity heard throughout is an endearing expedition into the peaceful realms of Dublin's latest folk formation, integrating summery sounds with husky vocals that could be considered similar to Cobain if he were to take a softer, angelic tone.
Its soft instrumentals are fairytale-like, reeling the listener into Tandem Felix's warm embrace. Harmonised vocals undoubtedly add to the track's subtle charm, emphasising the delicate lyrics and heightening the closeness of Tandem Felix's sound to that of Wilco and some Sparklehorse material.
"Union St. Blues" is absolutely delightful and surely rekindles the craving for folk we've been yearning for.
