Sweden-based Swim emerge with stunning debut single “Next To Me”
Born via a purely online friendship that consisted of exchanging ideas back-and-forth for some time, Malmö-based electronic-pop duo Swim have since made their musical debut.
“Next To Me” is the very first single known to Swim’s moniker, and it’s a sleek, whispery number at that. Proving to be both sweet and sultry, the track is balanced in part by Erika’s vocal warmth and Carl’s intimate instrumentation (no surnames given). Although downbeat in its demeanour, “Next To Me” manages to also feature episodes of synth-heavy swells that radiate emotive nostalgia.
Swim allow the track to breathe easy and move forward with precision and poise, just as we might expect them as a duo to from here-on-out.
Take a listen to “Next To Me”, the title track from Swim's forthcoming debut EP, out 11 December via HMW. It’s our Song Of The Day.
