Sticking with a gently-does-it approach, STRØM's new single “Last Try” is a smooth, understated track filled with driving synth/bass and atmospheric vocals.
It’s been almost three years since STRØM released his debut single, “Mesmerize”. Featuring as the backing track to a cinematic BMW commercial, it was a dark and brooding electro-pop offering that has, until now, remained his only single to date. Proving that good things do come to those who wait, he's back in 2020 with not only a brand spanking new single but promise of an imminent debut album as well.
The move from Värmdö in the Stockholm archipelago to Berlin in order to pursue a degree in music production and sound engineering was evidently a well-considered decision for the 29 year old multi-instrumentalist. Signed to an imprint of Sony Music, “Last Try” will be followed up with a debut album in February 2020. Until that comes, let the downtempo beats on the new track, reminiscent of James Blake and Gentle Bones, ease you in to the new year in style.
