Emerging fully-formed from the ever-fruitful New Cross scene, Halls has already been responsible for one of our favourite releases of the year – his beautiful, understated self-titled debut EP.
Today, Halls releases a surprise single, ‘Solace’. The three tracks here build on the intoxicating mix of soporific electronica and almost liturgical melody that characterised his debut EP – but here, the producer’s voice is given centre-stage. And, it turns out, Halls can really sing.
‘Colossus’, the b-side to ‘Solace’, is today’s Song Of The Day. Download it below, and get the full release on Halls’ Bandcamp.
