To coincide with the recent release of Porcelain Raft‘s 7″ single ‘Tip Of Your Tongue’, boutique label Acéphale Records have today released a bonus remix EP featuring contributions by Keep Shelley In Athens, Blood Diamonds, Nowa Huta and today’s Song Of The Day star Blackbird Blackbird.

Originally appearing as a Song Of The Day back in June, ‘Tip Of Your Tongue’ is surely one of the most understated songs of the year. Three and a half minutes of narcotic pop filtered through Mauro Remiddi’s soft Italian lilting vocal. San Francisco based Mikey S (Blackbird Blackbird) – no stranger to these pages - dips the track head first into a mass of compression and stop/start drum loops, resulting in a mix that swells and contracts at a dizzying pace – sorta like when you have your car window slightly ajar and it starts to fuck with your ears. We’re thrilled to be able to premier the track below.
