Ellie Goulding support act Sara Hartman bares all on “From the Other Side of the World”

The emotion-packed "From the Other Side of the World" is dedicated to Hartman's little sister. Since the release of debut EP “Satellite” she has been working non -stop - travelling around Europe on tour supporting Ellie Goulding has taken up a lot of her time, meaning that she hasn't been home all that much. “The song is for my little sister who I miss very much every day," Hartman explains. “I was in Berlin writing and recording songs while she was at home celebrating her sixth birthday.”
The highly personal, heartwarming track features a stripped arrangement of acoustic guitars and drums leaving room for Hartman’s vocals to glow. “One day when you're standing next to me / one day you'll understand why I had to leave”. Hartman explains over email that when she plays the track live “this is always the part… that makes me tear up a little bit.”
Of her little sister, Hartman adds that “she is becoming a strong and wide-eyed young woman and I am so happy that we can share this song.” She also hopes “that this video can show her what the hell I've been up to that was worth missing birthday cake.”
