We don’t know much about Promise Keeper, but the mysterious new artist appeared at the end of April with a debut cut that immediately had us hooked.
With crystal clean electronic production and hushed vocal performances that align the London newcomer with the likes of ZHU, “Side Decide” is a lounge-infused, nu-garage outing that morphs unknowingly towards a wholly hypnotic neon-pop effort.
Huw Stephens has already spun the track, which comes ahead of a headline show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on 15 June, and is the infectious first half of a double A-side release on new imprint Fnord.
