Pleasure Beach’s bracing new mix of single “Go” crackles with frenzied dream-pop energy
Straight off the heels of sharing the stage with Eternal Summers earlier this month, Belfast-based dream-pop band Pleasure Beach offer this newly mixed and mastered version of their sparkling single “Go”. The track serves as a rollicking taste of their forthcoming Dreamer to Dawn EP, due for release on 30 October via Faction Records.
“Go” teems with playful and propulsive energy as it opens with a wobbly synth and explodes into a spirited stomp. Driven by a lively guitar riff and urgently delivered vocals, this track will stay lodged in your brain long after it draws to an end. Pair this one with Arcade Fire’s “Keep the Car Running” in a playlist and just try to sit still with all of your Springsteen-inspired yearnings for the open road.
See the five piece band perform on 3 October as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival at The Academy in Dublin and stay tuned for an announcement of their first London shows in early November.
