Phoria continue to carve out their place in the electronic music landscape with the third track from their newly released Display EP. The aptly titled “efforttobreathe” finds the Brighton-based quintet standing on the edge of a swoonsome oblivion.
“efforttobreathe” features whisper-quiet intimate vocals and gently pulsating beats that position it as a sonic heir to the warmly cinematic atmosphere of the band’s previous singles. The steadily growing synth swell rumbling in the background intensifies the song’s ebb and flow.
The Display EP is released today via X Novo as a 10” vinyl and digital download. It serves as the new label’s first release. Phoria play at St. Pancras Old Church in London this evening for their EP launch and at The Haunt in Brighton on 21 June.
