Outfit hypnotise on dreamy new single "Framed" ahead of their second album [Premiere]
After springing back into action in March with "Genderless", the lead single from their second album Slowness, Outfit today share "Framed" first on Best Fit
Where "Genderless" jabbed at the spine with a cacophony of back-loaded distortion, "Framed" levitates in a harmonious, dreamlike state. Andrew Hunt's vocals sit close on the ear in tidy verses flecked with piano trickles, whipped beats and busy basslines, before the chorus unfurls something lax, luxurious and rhythmically at odds with what precedes it. Celestial falsettos lilt amid a thick layer of ambience that we never want to stop.
"Framed" yet again showcases Outfit's innate ability to blend experiment and hook. Boy, are we excited for their new record.
Slowness is released on 15 June via Memphis Industries.
