Nonô champions women's independence on the delectable “Mimosas”
London-based Brazilian artist Nonô releases her juicy summer anthem “Mimosas” and announces her debut EP.
Flowing with metaphors of freedom and power, “Mimosas” is the zesty new single from Nonô. Having grown up in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Nonô swapped the tropical climes of Brazil for London, and is radiating the sunny vibes through her Latin-influenced music.
"'Mimosas' is a celebration of women’s independence,” explains Nonô. “The song is about being able to see yourself as the main character in your own life and knowing that you don’t have to wait around for someone to come to your rescue. You can be your own hero and create your own reality."
A vivacious celebration of autonomy, “Mimosas” puts Nonô as the leading lady in her own story, spreading the positivity through bossa nova-inspired guitar lines and summer-ready hooks.
