Man Of Moon impress with one of the best debuts we've heard in months, "The Road"
We're told Man Of Moon are a bit of an industry secret at the moment despite many celebrated gigs in their home of Scotland. If their debut single "The Road" is anything to go by then we can't see them under the radar for much longer
Driven by the kind of proggy pulse Jagwar Ma channel so well, "The Road" is all about build and release: palm-muted guitars and chugging beats erupting into a wall of root-note distortion and crashing cymbals. Chris Bainbridge meanders his gorgeous husk between all the track's heady components in perfect contrast to the astounding amount of noise this pair can make.
"The Road" is everything we want to hear in a first single: confident, catchy and a beautiful assault on the ears.
The double A-side single "The Road" (B-side "This World") is released via Melodic on 17 July (pre-order for immediate download).
